Job summary

School House Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support Nursery and Reception pupils, helping them learn through play and conversation. A Level 3 TA qualification and EYFS familiarity are required, with Paediatric First Aid preferred.

Roles can be full or part-time, across Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Doncaster or Worksop. Opportunities include friendly registration, competitive pay, 24/7 support, and a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full and Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and its seven areas of learning.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is preferred.
• Available to work Monday to Friday, full or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Encourage Nursery and Reception pupils to explore learning through play.
• Support listening, speaking and understanding skills through daily conversations, stories and songs.
• Assist with role-play and development of gross and fine motor skills.

Early Years Teaching Assistants are essential in encouraging Nursery and Reception aged pupils to explore learning through play. They help them to develop listening, speaking and understanding skills through daily conversations, stories and songs. Role-play also helps the development of gross and fine motor skills to aid movement and hand-eye coordination.

As a smaller, independent supply teaching specialist, we offer a refreshing change to the larger, national supply teaching organisations. We are also, REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) members and supply teaching experts.
