Early Years Teaching Assistant - Wednesbury

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Wednesbury. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Early Years provision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
  • Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
