GSL Education are inviting applications for an Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) role in a welcoming and inclusive school in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children in their early development, helping to create a positive foundation for their learning journey.

About the Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in supporting the development of children in EYFS settings, working alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging and creative learning experiences. You will assist in providing structured play activities, literacy and numeracy support, and emotional and social development for young learners.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the class teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities.
2. Assist with phonics, numeracy, and early language development.
3. Provide one-to-one and small-group support to enhance children's learning.
4. Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
5. Promote positive behaviour management and support children’s social and emotional well-being.
6. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to support children’s progress.
7. Maintain accurate records of children's development and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Requirements:

1. Experience working within an EYFS setting in a school or nursery environment.
2. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. A passion for working with young children, with a patient and caring approach.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
6. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
