Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in Oldbury. You will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across Early Years, helping them access learning, build confidence and thrive in class.

With a focus on SEN and additional needs, you will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals, contributing to a welcoming school community and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children in a school setting.
• Understanding of SEN/additional needs.
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Ability to support learning in Early Years.

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Oldbury

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Oldbury. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupils in a group and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment across their Early Years.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
