Job summary

Education World Ltd in Sunderland is seeking enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistants to support children in private nurseries and early years settings. You will assist with daily activities, play-based learning, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Successful applicants will have a recognised Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification and experience in EYFS. The role offers flexible, long-term opportunities with competitive daily rates and weekly pay through PAYE, plus access

Responsibilities

• Support children within nursery and early years environments.
• Assist the Room Leader and nursery team with daily activities.
• Support learning and development through play-based activities.
• Encourage positive social, emotional and communication skills.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group support where required.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children with additional needs where necessary.
• Assist with observations and monitoring development.

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you may be responsible for:

• Supporting children within nursery and early years environments.
• Assisting the Room Leader and wider nursery team with daily activities and routines.
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Encouraging positive social, emotional and communication skills.
• Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required.
• Helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting children with additional needs where necessary.
• Assisting with observations and monitoring children's development.

To Be Considered For This Role, You Must

• Hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Have experience working with children within an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Be caring, patient, enthusiastic and reliable.
• Be confident supporting children through play-based learning and structured activities.
• Be able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
