Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. in Newcastle is seeking an Early Years Assistant for a temporary, full-time role starting ASAP. You will support children through daily nursery routines, supervise play and help maintain a safe learning environment.

• Previous experience working with children within a nursery or Early Years setting.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Newcastle. ASAP. £14.50 - £15.00 per hour

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant looking for a new full‑time opportunity? Do you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare and enjoy supporting young children with their development? TeacherActive is working with a nursery in Newcastle that is looking for a passionate Early Years Assistant to join their team. The nursery provides a supportive environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and early learning skills.

The Early Years Assistant position is a temporary, full-time role starting ASAP, supporting children throughout their daily nursery routines and activities. You will work alongside the existing nursery team to provide engaging learning experiences, supervise play, support children's personal care and help maintain a safe and stimulating environment.

Successful Early Years Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant equivalent is highly desirable
• Previous experience working with children within a nursery or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
