We are looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated EYFS team from June 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in their early stages of learning, helping to build strong foundations in a safe, stimulating, and caring environment.
Duties as Teaching Assistant:
Support the class teacher in delivering a creative and engaging Early Years curriculum.
Work with individuals and small groups to support learning, play, and development.
Assist in planning and setting up learning activities, both indoors and outdoors.
Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments.
Promote a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages independence and confidence.
Support children with personal care routines and ensure their wellbeing.
Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working in an Early Years setting.
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable.
Demonstrate a warm, caring and patient approach.
Understand the EYFS framework and child development principles.
Be a team player with strong communication skills as a Teaching Assistant.
Be passionate about supporting young children in their early learning journey.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
