Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an Early Years Assistant in Taunton to support children across nursery settings with a caring, flexible approach. You will adapt between rooms, support learning through play, and contribute to a safe, positive environment for young learners.

The role is flexible, part-time and day-to-day with competitive pay. Applicants should have Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualifications and experience in nurseries; Paediatric First Aid is desirable.

The successful Early Years Assistant will work within welcoming nursery environments, helping to create a safe, positive and engaging setting where children can learn, play and develop.

We are looking for an Early Years Assistant for flexible, part-time, day-to-day and short-term work, supporting children across all Early Years age groups. The Early Years Assistant will be expected to adapt confidently between rooms, support children's learning and development, and provide an empathetic and nurturing approach throughout the day.

The successful Early Years Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working with children within an Early Years or nursery setting
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential
• The ability to work flexibly across different Early Years rooms and age groups
• A caring and empathetic approach
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
