Qualifications

What to Expect as an Early Years Teacher

  • Lead planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Take ownership of observations, assessments, and planning for your key children, providing developmentally appropriate next steps.
  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to curriculum development.
  • Serve as Key Person, maintaining relationships with families and supporting children with SEND/ASL needs.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive environment supporting emotional and social development.
  • Encourage and praise children’s development and achievements.

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS, EYTS, or EYPS qualification.
  • Have extensive experience in an early years setting, ideally as a Nursery Teacher or Early Years Teacher.
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
