Job summary

N Family Club in Leatherhead, Surrey, is seeking an Early Years Teacher to lead the learning through play, apply the N Curriculum, and mentor colleagues. You will drive high-quality teaching and build strong partnerships with families to support every child's development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the 'learning through play' ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair, planning exciting experiences that challenge and inspire every child.
  • Be a leader in education, demonstrating high-quality teaching through N-inspired strategies.
  • Work with managers to develop nursery education and deliver actions from the Self-Evaluation form.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality observations, assessments, and support for all children, including specialist support plans with the SENCO.
  • Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children's learning.
  • Embed and role-model all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behavioural safety.
  • Stay up to date with Early Years research, bringing fresh ideas to improve children's learning.
  • Support nursery life with flexibility and positivity to keep everything running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities

Our Early Years Teachers should have...
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, apprentice, or early years educator).
  • Full and relevant Early Years teacher qualification (EYT or QTS).
  • Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and be willing to update that training regularly.
  • A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
  • A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
