Job summary

N Family Club in Leatherhead, Surrey is seeking an Early Years Teacher to shape our learning through play and the N Curriculum. You will lead high-quality teaching, observe and support children, and collaborate with managers to develop nursery education.

With EYT or QTS, Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, and a passion for education, you’ll inspire colleagues and help us deliver outstanding care. Competitive salary and generous benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, apprentice, or early years educator).
  • Full and relevant Early Years teacher qualification (EYT or QTS).
  • Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and commitment to remain compliant.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and willingness to update training regularly.
  • Genuine passion for education and changing children's lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair, planning exciting experiences that challenge and inspire every child.
  • Be a leader in education, demonstrating high-quality teaching through N-inspired strategies.
  • Work with managers to develop nursery education and deliver actions from the Self-Evaluation form.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality observations, assessments, and support for all children, including SENCO-planned plans.
  • Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions between mealtimes, naptimes, and playtimes.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in learning.
  • Embed and role-model all policies, including safeguarding and behavioural safety.
  • Stay up to date with Early Years research and bring fresh ideas to improve learning.
  • Provide flexible, positive support to keep nursery life running smoothly.

Your key responsibilities

  • Embed and role‑model all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behavioural safety.
  • Stay up to date with Early Years research, bringing fresh ideas to improve children’s learning.
  • Support nursery life with flexibility and positivity to keep everything running smoothly.
Our Early Years Teachers should have...
