Job summary

Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool in Haywards Heath is seeking an Early Years Teacher with QTS to join our team. You will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and provide exceptional care to meet each child’s needs.

You will assess progress, reflect individual interests, and ensure stimulating environments. The role requires EYFS expertise, safeguarding knowledge and strong partnerships with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• QTS/EYTS/EYPS or Level 6 Early Years Qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding.
• Ability to build trust with children, colleagues and parents.
• Commitment to delivering engaging, high-quality learning.
• Experience in a nursery or preschool setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and high-quality care.
• Assess and track children's development, adapting activities as needed.
• Ensure stimulating indoor and outdoor environments for all children.

Salary – Starting from £30,155 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all the children to develop and meet their individual needs. You will make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, and ensure the indoor and outdoor environments are consistently stimulating and inspiring for the children.

What we’re looking for

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents
