Job summary

Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool in Haywards Heath is seeking an Early Years Teacher with QTS to lead learning and provide exceptional care, helping children develop to their full potential.

You will plan immersive activities, assess progress, and collaborate with families to support each child's needs in a safe, stimulating environment, aligned with EYFS and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

  • Hold QTS, EYTS, EYPS or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • Solid understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and high‑quality care that support each child’s development.
  • Make accurate assessments reflecting individual needs, interests and stages.
  • Ensure indoor/outdoor environments are stimulating and safe.

Role

We’re looking for an Early Years Teacher with a QTS to join our Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool.

Responsibilities

The Role: As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all the children to develop and meet their individual needs. You will make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, and ensure the indoor and outdoor environments are consistently stimulating and inspiring for the children.

Requirements
  • Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents
