Job summary

Golden Lane Children’s Centre, part of Prior Weston School in London, is seeking an Early Years Education Support Worker to assist with the EYFS learning for two-year-olds. This part-time role fits around school terms, with Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday all day.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 EY qualification, be committed to inclusion and teamwork, and help deliver high-quality, nurturing childcare that supports every child's potential.

About The Role

Early Years Education Support Worker

Salary Grade: Scale 3, Spine Points 5–7

Actual Salary: £12,271 - £12,625 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 16.45 hours per week, Wednesday pm to Friday, Term Time Only (TTO)

Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, with the potential to become permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Education Support Worker to join our Early Years team, working with children aged 2 years. This part‑time role, working Wednesdays 12.30pm, Thursdays all day and Fridays all day, offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development through high‑quality childcare and education based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

About The Role

As an Early Years Education Support Worker, you will:

  • Support the delivery of engaging and high-quality EYFS learning experiences.

  • Support all children to access learning opportunities, adapting activities where appropriate to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the individual needs of every child.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification recognised as full and relevant by the Department for Education.
  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
  • Understands the importance of celebrating diversity and promoting equality in the early years.
  • Values and respects the backgrounds, cultures, languages, and experiences of all children and families.
  • Is reliable, flexible, and able to use their initiative.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
  • Demonstrates a caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • Is available to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during term time.
