The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an Early Years Assistant for Moffat EYC. You will work with the early years team to support children’s learning, development and welfare in a council setting.

You will assist teachers and staff across playrooms and activities, contribute to individual care plans, and help with record keeping, safeguarding and inclusive practice in line with council procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Assisting in meeting the educational, care and welfare needs of children.
• Support and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Early Years Campus.
• Provide help with record keeping and attendance at meetings as designated.
• Follow procedures for risk assessment and health, safety and welfare of children.
• Work in partnership with teachers, early years staff and families.

Aufgaben

• Support children in playrooms and learning environments through organised activities.
• Assist in supporting early language, mathematics, health and well-being activities.
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, toileting, dressing, and personal care.
• Support children moving into mainstream schools or other provision.
