The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an Early Years Assistant at Moffat EYC to work in collaboration with the early years team. You will assist in meeting educational, care and welfare needs of all children and support staff in the day-to-day operations and activities.

This post is full-time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks) with a salary of £26,806–£27,032. The role requires PVG scheme checks and commitment to safeguarding children; applications from diverse backgrounds are welcome.

Qualificações

• Supports children in the playrooms and learning environment.
• Assists in meeting educational, care and welfare needs of all children.
• Supports day-to-day operations and clerical tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision, provide encouragement to help each child achieve learning and development outcomes.
• Support teachers and early years staff across learning environments.
• Assist in planning and implementing early years activities and programmes.
• Assist with record keeping and attendance at meetings as required.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of children and liaise with parents and professionals as needed.
