Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an Early Years Assistant at Moffat EYC. Salary £26,806 - £27,032, 36 hours per week, 52 weeks.

You will work as part of the early years team to support children's education, welfare and development, including those with additional support needs, within a collaborative council setting. You will assist in day-to-day operations, follow safeguarding procedures, maintain records, and participate in professional development to support high-quality learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting early years learning and development.
• Ability to assist children with additional support needs.
• Willingness to follow school/early years procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support children in playrooms and learning environments to achieve outcomes.
• Assist teachers and early years staff in activities across environments.
• Support daily operations of the Early Years Campus under supervision.
• Help ensure safety and welfare, liaise with parents and agencies as needed.
• Maintain records and participate in staff development opportunities.
