Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council’s Education Resources is seeking enthusiastic staff to support the learning and development of young children within our Early Learning and Childcare establishments. The post requires SSSC registration as a support worker and holds a permanent vacancy at 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, located at St Paul’s Nursery Centre in Hamilton.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker is required.
• Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain one of the specified qualifications.
• Support will be provided to successful candidates who don’t hold a relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Work as an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team to deliver a high quality service and a positive ethos.
