Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an Early Learning and Childcare Support Assistant to help deliver high-quality learning experiences for young children at Springlaw ELC. The role requires 14 hours per week across Thursdays and Fridays, with a salary of £10,073–£10,825 per year.

The post supports a positive ethos and requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and one of the specified qualifications. Training will be provided for non-qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a professional capacity.
• Ability to communicate with children, parents/carers and team members.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to obtain one of the listed qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within ELC settings.
• Work as an active member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Contribute to a positive ethos and environment for children, parents and staff.
