Job summary

North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) is hiring for an Early Years practitioner within our Nursery. The role focuses on delivering high quality childcare, recording observations and maintaining accurate records, while supporting a motivating team culture.

The post requires relevant early years qualifications (NNEB/CACHE Level 3/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and up to 5 years of experience with young children.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years' age range experience.
• NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare Development.
• Ability to create and maintain timely accurate childcare records and observation records on staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team, encourage collaboration and value staff ideas.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality childcare and education for all nursery children.
• Assist in day-to-day staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.
• Be accountable and proactive in the smooth running of your designated area.
• Ensure daily risk assessments are completed within your area of responsibility.

Work Pattern: Compressed hours 37.5 h/w over 4 days with 1 day off each week rotating monthly

• To be responsible for providing high quality childcare and education for all nursery children.
• To assist in the day to day, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.
• To be accountable and proactive in the smooth running of your designated area of responsibility
• To ensure risk assessments are completed daily within your area of designated responsibility.
