Job summary

Academics Ltd are recruiting an experienced SRB Teaching Assistant to support Early Years pupils in a Caerphilly primary school. You will help learners access the curriculum, develop confidence, and support communication and independence.

In this role you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, work alongside the class teacher, and assist pupils with ALN/SEN in a nurturing environment. DBS and EWC registration are essential, with safeguarding at the core.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Early Years children.
• ALN/SEN experience is highly desirable.
• SRB, specialist provision or primary school experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Early Years pupils with their learning, development and daily routines.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Work alongside the class teacher and wider school team.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs in a nurturing environment.
• Encourage communication, social interaction and independence.
• Support play-based and sensory activities.
• Help pupils develop confidence and engagement.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
