Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Early Years Community/Pre-School Team in Wembley. This fixed-term contract for 12 months offers 37.5 hours per week and a supportive environment to develop clinical practice.

You will deliver SLT assessment, intervention, and support for children in early years settings, with supervision and opportunities for CPD and professional development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree and Licence to Practise from the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
• Current HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
• Experience working with children in clinics or school settings.
• Ability to provide training to others.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs using appropriate tools.
• Manage and prioritise a defined caseload with supervision.
• Develop and deliver evidence-based intervention plans.
• Monitor progress and adapt interventions to individual needs.
• Provide reports and feedback to families and professionals.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, and early years staff.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments and annual reviews.
• Maintain accurate records in line with HCPC/RCSLT standards.
