Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust in Brent is seeking an experienced Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) to join the Early Years team, focusing on children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The post will involve leading clinical work, supervision of junior staff, collaboration with families, schools, audiology, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver child-centred interventions and service development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years services focusing on deaf or hard of hearing children.
• Ability to provide specialist advice and supervision to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly specialist SLT service within the Early Years for deaf and hard of hearing children.
• Manage specialist caseload and advise on hearing loss impact on communication and development.
• Support triage and referral management and contribute to team discussions.
• Act as clinical lead for deafness and hearing loss within Children’s SLT.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and chair where appropriate.
• Support operational leadership and service development within the Early Years pathway.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students.
