Sefton Council is seeking an experienced Early Years professional to join its Early Years Team as an Early Years School Quality Improvement Officer on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2029. The role involves supporting schools to deliver high-quality EYFS provision and improving outcomes for children.

You will work closely with headteachers, EY leaders and staff, providing guidance, training and coaching to raise standards, analyse data to identify priorities and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree-level qualification.
• Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage and raising standards.
• Experience in supporting school improvement and reducing inequalities.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

• Support schools to deliver high-quality Early Years provision.
• Promote excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across the EYFS.
