Job summary

Protocol Education is partnering with a Newham-based school to recruit an Early Years Primary Teacher for the new academic year. The role focuses on learning through play and developing the youngest learners, with responsibility for a Nursery Nurse team.

A calm, engaging presence and strong Early Years knowledge are essential. The successful candidate will hold QTS, have Early Years teaching experience, and be able to commute to Islington.

Protocol Education are currently working with a school based in Newham who are looking to add to their Early Years Team for the new academic year.

This is a 1-form entry school which was rated 'GOOD' in its most recent OFSTED,

The school are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate early years teacher who can bring learning to life for their youngest learners.

The school believes strongly in encouraging learning through play and you will be expected to help facilitate this.

You will be responsible for a team of Nursery Nurses and should be confident organising and managing a team effectively.

The school are looking for someone with fantastic knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum.

The school is situated conveniently between several overground and underground stations.

The successful applicant will:

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Hold QTS
• Have Early Years Teaching Experience
• Have a calm and consistent approach
• Be able to commute to Islington
• Have a supporting and encouraging manner with young children and an ability to inspire trust and to motivate the child in their care to integrate and learn through play
• Have the ability to be flexible and to work as part of a team
• Be required to work closely with parents, Special Needs Leader and Outside Agencies
• Be able to use their initiative in meeting the needs of the children and in adapting and/or developing activities and games that support the development of the child's independent communication and learning skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
