Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in Hertford, United Kingdom, is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to join our caring team. You will help deliver outstanding care and education in a warm, home-from-home setting, supporting the Room Leader and planning engaging activities for young learners.

You will observe and record progress, communicate with parents, and ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing at all times. A Level 2/3 EY qualification and EYFS understanding are essential.

Qualifications

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Desirable: Paediatric First Aid certificate, safeguarding training, and food hygiene certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
  • Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
  • Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements.
  • Support children's individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred's policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times.

  • Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
