Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to join our caring, home-from-home setting. You will help provide outstanding care and education, supporting children to feel safe, happy and inspired to learn.

Join a supportive team at Kindred where you’ll deliver engaging activities, observe progress, communicate with families through our Satchel app, and ensure safeguarding and health and safety at all times.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, stimulating environment where children learn through play.
  • Support the Room Leader in delivering high standards of care and education.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that foster curiosity and development.
  • Observe and record children's learning and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow Kindred policies.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive nursery environment.
  • Support children's individual learning journeys and celebrations of progress.

Job description

Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.



  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.

  • Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education.

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.

  • Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements.

  • Support children's individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred's policies and procedures are consistently followed.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.

  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times.

    As an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse), you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding care and education while creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy and inspired to learn., A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.


  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.


Desirable:


  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.

  • Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training will be provided).

  • Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
