Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in Greater London is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to join our team for 25 hours per week, term time only. Deliver outstanding care and education in a warm, home-from-home setting where children feel safe, happy and inspired to learn.

You will work with a supportive team, plan engaging activities, observe learning, and maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards while communicating with parents via Satchel and in person.

Qualifications

  • A full Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
  • Solid understanding of EYFS principles and delivery.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
  • Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
  • Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements.
  • Support children’s individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred’s policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children’s wellbeing at all times.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Need
Essential:
  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection training (full training will be provided).
  • Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
