Job summary

The Mere Nature Kindergarten in Cheshire is seeking an Early Years Practitioner Supply on a zero-hour contract with flexible hours. You will support children aged 3 months to 5 years indoors and outdoors, providing safe, engaging learning experiences while the team covers shifts.

We welcome both qualified and unqualified applicants; Thrive offers fully funded training, development opportunities, and a collaborative, nature-based environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Teamwork and reliability are essential.
• Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging, and fun learning experiences for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
• Support the team in daily routines, activities, and holiday cover.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children.

Located on one of Cheshire's busiest commuter routes, The Mere Nature Kindergarten is a well-established and trusted nursery. Our beautifully designed property is ideal for local families or commuters traveling via the A556 to Manchester or the A50 to Warrington.

We are proud holders of the Green Flag Eco School Award, with an active Eco Committee that grows fruit and vegetables in our allotment. Our nursery encourages children to explore nature, discover hidden treasures outdoors, and learn the importance of caring for the environment.
