Job summary

G-old Sure Start in the Mid Ulster area is recruiting a permanent Early Years Practitioner for the Pomeroy Developmental Programme, offering 24 hours per week. You will deliver engaging early years activities for children aged 0–4 and their families, support the 2–3-year-old development programme (three 2.5-hour sessions weekly), and run outreach play sessions in local settings.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 2 in Playwork or equivalent required.
• Experience working or volunteering with children aged 0–4 years.

Responsibilities

• Support the Developmental Programme for 2–3-year-olds, running three 2.5-hour sessions weekly (Sept–June).
• Deliver outreach play sessions in local community settings.
• Build trusted relationships with families, including home visits.
• Promote positive play, early learning and social development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care.
