Job summary

ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA is looking for an Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 0–5 in our community nurseries. You will plan and deliver play-based learning, support families, and help create a welcoming, safe environment in which every child is seen and valued.

This role requires warmth, patience and energy, with DBS clearance and First Aid training preferred. You’ll work as part of a close team across Riverside and other RBKC nurseries, based in London.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Experience in an early years setting is desirable.
• Commitment to warmth, patience and energy in supporting children.

Responsibilities

• Help shape learning through play for children aged 0–5.
• Plan fun, engaging activities indoors and outdoors.
• Perform hands-on routines including nappies, snacks and personal care.
• Build strong relationships with families and carers.
• Support inclusive practice and safeguarding guidance.
