Strategy Education Ltd is hiring Early Years Practitioners in Kingston upon Thames, London. This part-time role offers 27.5 hours per week across two shifts, all year round, with a January 2027 start date.

You will provide high-quality care and education for 2–5 year-olds, plan engaging activities, and support development in a warm, inclusive nursery setting following EYFS guidelines.

• Full Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education is essential.

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Practitioners to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Kingston upon Thames. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding early years team, helping to provide high-quality care, education and developmental support for children aged 2–5 years.

The successful candidates will play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where young children can learn through play, develop their confidence and build positive relationships.

There are two part-time shift patterns available:

• Morning shift: 7:30am – 1:00pm
• Afternoon shift: 12:30pm – 6:00pm

Both positions offer 27.5 hours per week, working throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, education and support for children aged 2–5 years.
• Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional and physical development through play-based learning.
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to support children's individual needs and wellbeing.

Requirements

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education is essential.
• At least one year's experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Experience supporting children aged 2–5 years.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Strong communication, literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach to working with young children.
• Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
