Job summary

RBKC Careers is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 0–5 in community nurseries across the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. You’ll help create safe, engaging spaces where every child is seen and supported, building confidence through play and routine.

You’ll work as part of a caring team, undertaking daily duties, planning activities, and partnering with families to respond to each child’s needs. DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Experience in an early years setting is desirable.
• A DBS check and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0–5 with planning and play activities.
• Assist with daily tasks: nappies, snacks, and independence skills.
