Job summary

Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing team in Haywards Heath. The role covers 8am–2:30pm, with opportunities to extend lunch cover and shift flexibility.

The ideal candidate holds a full Level 3 or higher in Early Years, demonstrates strong EYFS understanding and safeguarding knowledge, and can build trusted partnerships with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child.
• Foster a safe environment where children can express themselves and learn.
• Support development towards key milestones and a love of learning.
