We are looking for someone who cares about young children’s learning and development. The role includes working with young children through play, stories, and fun activities. It's a chance to help them learn new things in a safe and happy place. Join our team and help support children as they grow, learn, and become confident and curious learners during their early years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that engage children and encourage them to reach their full potential.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment, using your creativity and enthusiasm to inspire young learners.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess children’s development, providing feedback and support to teachers and parents.
• Encourage children’s social and emotional development, helping them to build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
• Support children with additional needs (e.g., special educational needs or English as an additional language) using tailored strategies to ensure their progress.
• Assist in managing classroom activities and routines, ensuring a safe, organised and nurturing environment for all children.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures, always ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that teaching and learning strategies are effective and meet the individual needs of each child.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in in Early Years is a must).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to implement it effectively in daily activities.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.
• Ability to organise activities and tasks efficiently while managing the needs of individual children.
• Have anupdated CV(covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps).
• Have anenhanced DBSregistered to theupdate serviceor be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
