Our school is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and caring Teaching Assistant who is also a qualified Forest School Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This is a unique opportunity to support pupils both inside the classroom and outside in our dedicated forest school area, helping to inspire curiosity, resilience, and confidence in our learners.
Location: Nelson
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Hours: Full-time (term time)
Salary: £13.74 - £14.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Plan and lead Forest School sessions, ensuring safety and inclusivity for all children.
- Foster children’s emotional, social, and physical development through nature-based activities.
- Adapt learning experiences to meet a range of needs and abilities.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing across school and outdoor settings.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
- A recognised Forest School qualification (Level 3 Practitioner desirable).
- Experience working with children in early years or primary settings.
- A love for the outdoors and a commitment to child-led learning.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
