Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 and 3) for nurseries across Walthamstow. The role focuses on engaging children through messy play, music, movement and imaginative learning, supporting development and wellbeing.

You will work in friendly nursery settings, with flexible day-to-day shifts, part-time or full-time opportunities, and a supportive team that values enthusiasm, communication and a caring approach.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
• GCSE English and Maths (4/C) (essential)
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development
• Experience or exposure within an EYFS or nursery environment (preferred)
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Caring, patient, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Paediatric First Aid (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support children through engaging activities, sensory experiences, outdoor learning and imaginative play.
• Assist with daily routines that promote development and wellbeing during EYFS activities.
• Work across different nursery settings in Walthamstow to gain experience and adaptability.

To be considered for this Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 and 3) position, you will need:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
• A minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development
• Experience or exposure within an EYFS or nursery environment (preferred but not essential)
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A caring, patient, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Paediatric First Aid (preferred but not essential)
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (preferred but not essential)
