Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support children’s development across our Derriford nurseries. You will deliver high-quality learning experiences, follow EYFS frameworks, and maintain a safe, caring environment for children.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 in Early Years, bring strong communication, be able to work collaboratively, and are committed to inclusive, reflective practice. This role may involve working across multiple nursery sites within a one-hour radius.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to Level 2 as an Early Years Practitioner.
  • Experience with child development and learning.

  • Provide exceptional early years education, supporting each child’s development and learning journey.
  • Implement and follow frameworks such as the EYFS to ensure high-quality teaching and care.

  • Design and deliver stimulating activities that enrich learning and promote holistic development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers through open and effective communication.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety in every interaction and environment.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings, sharing ideas and insights to positively shape the future of the children in our care.

  • Confidently implement and follow frameworks such as the EYFS to ensure high-quality teaching and care.

About you:

We'relooking for Early Years Practitioners qualified to Level 2 who:

  • Have experience with child development and learning and are committed to children’s emotional and intellectual growth
  • Communicate confidently, professionally and work collaboratively
  • Work in a way that is inclusive and creates a supportive, respectful environment
  • Is reflective and committed to professional growth
  • Can easily commute to multiple nursery sites within a one-hour radius

And afew nice to haves:

  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Experience supporting children withadditionalneeds.
  • Familiarity with digital learning journals or nursery software.
