Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries in Yeovil is seeking Early Years Practitioners with a Level 2 qualification to support children's development and learning, focusing on individual growth and inclusive practice.

You will provide high-quality education in a safe, nurturing environment, implementing EYFS, building positive relationships with families, and contributing to safeguarding and wellbeing across our nurseries.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to Level 2 in Early Years and committed to children’s growth.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with colleagues and families.
  • Experience with child development and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner,you’llbe a vital part of our team, dedicated to ensuring consistent, high-quality education within a safe and secure environment within our nurseries.

About the role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:

Provide exceptional early years education, supporting each child’s development and learning journey.

Confidently implement and follow frameworks such as the EYFS to ensure high-quality teaching and care.

Meet the daily needs of every child with compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism.

Design and deliver stimulating activities that enrich learning and promote holistic development.

Build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers through open and effective communication.

Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety in every interaction and environment.

Actively contribute to team meetings, sharing ideas and insights to positively shape the future of the children in our care.

About you:

We'relooking for Early Years Practitioners qualified to Level 2 who:

Have experience with child development and learning and are committed to children’s emotional and intellectual growth

Communicate confidently, professionally and work collaboratively

Work in a way that is inclusive and creates a supportive, respectful environment

Is reflective and committed to professional growth

And afew nice to haves:

Paediatric First Aid certification.

Experience supporting children withadditionalneeds.

Familiarity with digital learning journals or nursery software.
