Job summary

Brackenhill Primary School is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join its Foundation Stage team. The role involves supporting the EYFS ethos, observing pupil learning, and delivering high‑quality classroom practice for young children in a caring, inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity, with strong communication and organisational skills and a commitment to safeguarding. Visits prior to applying are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Ability to observe and record pupil learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practices.
• Ability to work as part of a motivated Foundation Stage team.

Responsibilities

• Support the school ethos and policies in delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice with young learners.
• Maintain high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
• Utilise AFL and active, independent learning approaches.
• Be enthusiastic, flexible and creative to motivate all children.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents; stay organised.
• Provide cover supervision as needed; undertake first aid and fire marshal training.
