Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is hiring an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to join our caring team and support 40 hours per week. You will help provide a safe, nurturing environment where children learn through play and educators plan meaningful activities.

In this role you’ll work with the Room Leader to uphold high standards of EYFS care, build strong relationships with children and families, and contribute to a welcoming, safeguarding-focused nursery community.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
• Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements.
• Support children’s individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred’s policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children’s wellbeing at all times.
