Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to deliver outstanding care and education for local children. The role is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, creating a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy and inspired to learn.

You will support the Room Leader, plan engaging activities, and build strong relationships with your Key Children while keeping parents informed through our Satchel app and regular

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
• Support the Room Leader in delivering high standards of Early Years care and education.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with Key Children, observing and recording learning and achievements.
• Support children's learning journeys, celebrating progress and helping them reach their potential.
• Communicate with parents and carers through Satchel app, face-to-face and written observations.
• Maintain accurate records and follow Kindred's policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times.
