Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Early Years Practitioners to work in welcoming early years settings in Yeovil. Role focuses on supporting learning, development and wellbeing during the crucial early years and requires play-based activity delivery.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2/3 EY qualifications, have EYFS knowledge, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a DBS check (or willingness to apply). Positions available Full-Time, Monday to Friday with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
• Have previous experience in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
• Have a sound understanding of the EYFS.
• Be caring, patient, and passionate about early childhood development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Observe, monitor, and record children's progress.
• Support children's personal care needs where required.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
