Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for Fairthorne Manor Nursery in Southampton. You’ll contribute to play-based learning, nurture children from babies to preschool, and support outdoor experiences in a nurturing environment.

The role focuses on building relationships, supporting development, and promoting inclusion within the EYFS framework, with a 4-day working pattern and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, are working towards one, or have relevant transferable experience.
• Caring, patient, curious and committed to helping children grow in confidence and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Build warm and secure relationships with children.
• Help every child feel that they belong.
• Support children’s confidence, independence and emotional development.
