Job summary

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a full-time Nursery Practitioner to care for children aged 0-5 years at the Freeman Hospital. The role requires a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and a proactive approach to learning and development, including supporting student placements.

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) is essential. Interview date is listed, and the post is based at Freeman Hospital with a fixed 37.5-hour week over four days.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervise children aged 0-5 years under the direction of the Lead Early Years Practitioner and Senior Staff/Nursery Managers.
• Implement a structured and stimulating environment through play, in line with OFSTED requirements.
• Supervise and assist students on placement.
