Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council invites applications for an Early Years Practitioner in Mansfield, NG19 6EW. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to help children prepare for learning and achieve developmental milestones in home and community settings.

As part of the Children and Families Department, you will work closely with families, particularly those with preschool children at risk of poor outcomes, to strengthen the home learning environment.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with children aged 0-5 and their families.
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child development principles.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to help children prepare for learning and achieve their developmental milestones. You will work closely with families, particularly those with preschool children at risk of poor outcomes, providing essential early help services within the home and community. Your partnership with parents will strengthen the home learning environment, ensuring every child has the best start in life.
