Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to deliver evidence-based interventions and support for children aged 0-5 and their families. You will work closely with parents to strengthen the home learning environment and help children achieve developmental milestones.

The role is based in Mansfield with office-based, full-time hours and a salary of £25,583–£26,403 per annum. A Disclosure DBS check is required, and driving is beneficial for home visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience working with children aged 0-5 and their families.
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child development principles.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

• Collaborate with families to provide early help services in home and community settings.
• Work with parents as their child's first educators to enhance home learning.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to help children prepare for learning and achieve their developmental milestones. You will work closely with families, particularly those with preschool children at risk of poor outcomes, providing essential early help services within the home and community. Your partnership with parents will strengthen the home learning environment, ensuring every child has the best start in life.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need

• A minimum of two years’ experience working with children aged 0-5 and their families.
