Job summary

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to work with vibrant schools in Doncaster. This opportunity is ideal for nurturing professionals who enjoy creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children's development during the most important stage of their education. Working alongside teachers and Early Years staff, you will help establish a positive and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

The EYP encourages children's learning through play, supports their personal development, and helps create a safe, inclusive setting where curiosity and confidence can grow.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Organise engaging play-based activities that promote learning across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
  • Encourage children's creativity, curiosity, and communication through interactive experiences
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing by building positive and trusting relationships
  • Observe and record developmental progress to contribute to future learning plans
  • Assist with daily routines, ensuring children's health, safety, and welfare are maintained
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to provide consistent support for every child

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Experience working within an Early Years, nursery, preschool, or primary school setting
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
