Job summary

Bright Horizons Purley Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our Purley Nursery. Salary starts from £29,972 per annum, with benefits and opportunities to grow within a values-led environment near Purley station.

You will plan and deliver engaging activities for children, ensuring a safe, inclusive space that promotes a love of learning and supports each child’s milestones.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child’s needs to support development toward key milestones.
• Maintain a safe environment that enables children to express themselves and fosters a lifelong love of learning.
• Work with colleagues to deliver high-quality early years provision and communicate effectively with families.

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Purley Nursery, situated next to Purley railway/tube station.

The nursery offers extra curricular activities such as PE lessons on a Monday morning for over 2 year olds, and on a weekly basis, ‘Theatrebugs’ sessions for all ages. These sessions allow children to explore stories in new ways through songs, instruments, and imaginary play.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
