Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an Early Years Practitioner to work across Bridgend’s nurseries and related settings. The role offers flexible long- and short-term opportunities with competitive hourly pay and 24/7 consultant support for onboarding.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 in Childcare or Early Years, with Level 3 desirable, and have experience in nurseries or Flying Start settings. A caring, proactive approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development.
• Experience working in nurseries, Cylch Meithrins, or Flying Start settings.
• A caring, reliable and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging activities and support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Promote learning through play and safe, positive environments for every child.
• Support children across a range of welcoming childcare settings in Bridgend.

Salary: £14.25 to £15.00 per hour

These settings are committed to providing safe, stimulating and nurturing environments where children can learn through play and develop confidence during their early years.

We are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner for both long term and short term opportunities, with flexible working options to suit your needs. The successful Early Years Practitioner will support children within the Early Years Foundation Phase, delivering engaging activities, promoting learning through play and ensuring a safe, positive environment for every child.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years as a minimum
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years is desirable
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Phase and child development
• Experience working within nurseries, Cylch Meithrins or Flying Start settings
• A caring, reliable and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
